II Chronicles 7:11-16

  1. Thus Solomon finished the house of the Lord, and the king's house: and all that came into Solomon's heart to make in the house of the Lord, and in his own house, he prosperously effected.
  2. And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.
  3. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
  4. If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
  5. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
  6. For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

I John 4:13-21

  1. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
  2. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
  3. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
  4. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
  5. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
  6. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
  7. We love him, because he first loved us.
  8. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
  9. And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Psalm 37:12-20

  1. The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.
  2. The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.
  3. The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.
  4. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
  5. A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
  6. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.
  7. The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.
  8. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
  9. But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
