Proverbs 3:5-7

  1. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
  2. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
  3. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Matthew 6:24-34

  1. No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
  2. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
  3. Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
  4. Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
  5. And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
  6. And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
  7. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
  8. Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
  9. (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
  10. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
  11. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Numbers 23:19

  1. God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

James 4:13-17

  1. Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
  2. Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
  3. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
  4. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
  5. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Hebrews 12:11-15

  1. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
  2. Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
  3. And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
  4. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
  5. Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Psalm 100

A Psalm of praise.
  1. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
  2. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
  3. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
  4. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
  5. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

I John 4:7-11

  1. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
  2. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
  3. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
  4. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
  5. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

James 4:5-10

  1. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
  2. But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
  3. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
  4. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
  5. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
  6. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Philippians 4:6-9

  1. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
  2. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
  3. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
  4. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Psalm 96:1-4

  1. O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.
  2. Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
  3. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
  4. For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

Isaiah 55:8,9

  1. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
  2. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Colossians 3:12-14

  1. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
  2. Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
  3. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

James 3:13-18

  1. Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
  2. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
  3. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
  4. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
  5. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
  6. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Matthew 6:9-13

  1. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
  2. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
  3. Give us this day our daily bread.
  4. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
  5. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Ephesians 5:25-31

  1. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
  2. That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
  3. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
  4. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
  5. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
  6. For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
  7. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

I Timothy 6:6-8

  1. But godliness with contentment is great gain.
  2. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
  3. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

I Peter 5:5-7

  1. Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
  2. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
  3. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

II Corinthians 1:3-5

  1. Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
  2. Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
  3. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

Romans 11:33-36

  1. O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
  2. For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
  3. Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
  4. For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

Proverbs 29:11

  1. A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.
